Invited International Speaker
Wilma Erasmus is the owner of Erasmus Physiotherapists Practice in Witbank, South Africa since 1987. She is a clinician, still actively delivering physiotherapy services in an outpatient setting as well as in private hospitals. She obtained her Masters in Physiotherapy in ICU from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (WITS) via dissertation in 2011. She presented at various national and international congress since 2013 on various topics including Data Registries and Outcome Measure Reporting.
Wilma is a part time lecturer at the WITS since 2013, and teaches ethics and private practice management to the final year physiotherapy students. She also lectures on business management related topics and ethics in Southern Africa since 2000 to various health care practitioners, and respiratory care management to physiotherapists.
She has been involved in different portfolios and capacities within the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP) since 1995, which included SASP President and chairman of the Private Practice Subgroup, PhysioFocus. She has been on the executive committee of the International Private Physiotherapists Association (IPPTA), for the last 11 years and is currently the President of IPPTA.
Wilma is passionate about having a growth mindset and believes that knowledge not shared is wasted.
