Ellen McMaster

Ellen is a rural generalist Physiotherapist from a farming background and lives in the lands cared for by traditional custodians, the Wiradjuri Nation in western New South Wales. Ellen feels a strong connection to the land and rural people.

Ellen is the Chairperson of the National Rural Advisory Committee for the APA, NSW Branch Council, rural representative, Physiotherapy Advisor for the local public health district and a member of the District Clinical Council in that location. Ellen’s key areas of interest is rural and remote health and the role Physiotherapy has in improving health outcomes. Access to health services in rural Australia is Ellen’s primary focus with the belief that this starts with workforce development and systems that support the current workforce and succession planning. Ellen is committed to Professional networking, the application of Virtual Care and Technology, rural health research and leading innovative service developments and supporting change.
