The COVID-19 crisis is of concern to all of us, personally and professionally.
Following lengthy discussions and consideration of the recent government health alerts, the APA has decided to cancel Focus 2020, its three day conference, due to take place in Perth on 28 – 30 May 2020. The decision was not made lightly, but the health and safety of our members and staff is paramount.
This has been a difficult decision in a very fluid situation and we recognise it imposes significant inconvenience for all. However, the potential risks, at a time when we are trying to contain the spread of this virus, is our primary concern.
We would like acknowledge all the hard work of the conference committee, chaired by Sara Brentnall, and the significant commitment by speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. Under normal circumstances, we know it would have been a truly fantastic event.
We would like to confirm that the conference will be held in Perth in 2022, from 25-28 May.
We are also working on trying to maximise online educational opportunities. Regular updates will be communicated.
All those who have registered or booked an exhibition booth and paid via credit card will be automatically refunded. Those who have paid via EFT should contact us at email@example.com and provide name, address, bank BSB and account number.
